Louisiana Celebrates Farm to School Month - October 2021

October is National Farm to School Month! Join the LSU AgCenter Farm to School Program as we celebrate food education, school gardens and lunch trays filled with healthy, local ingredients.
Here are several easy ways to get involved:
Be Inspired: Follow the Louisiana Farm to School Program Seeds to Success Facebook Page to see inspiring examples of farm to school success and innovation.
Get Involved: Take the Louisiana Farm to School Challenge to celebrate existing farm to school efforts and launch new ones! Once you sign the pledge to take the challenge, you will receive a tool kit with ready-to-use social media images, newsletter and blog content, and a sample press release. The tool kit also includes great ideas to help you choose your activity. If you need help deciding where to start, reach out to: louisianafarmtoschool@agcenter.lsu.edu
Peel a Satsuma: Join the fifth annual Great Louisiana Satsuma Peel, where Louisianans of all ages come together to enjoy peeling and eating fresh, Louisiana satsumas. Sign-up to receive more Satsuma Peel resources.
